CASTING CALL::style blogger

>> October 21, 2011

Being a PW is about prayer, and study, and multi-tasking.
And flexibility.
And keeping cool under pressure.

And penny-pinching. Which can be quite a challenge when you also want your wardrobe to adequately represent your husband and your church.

So CLUTCH would like to add a bit of whimsy (and economic thrift!) to our blog. What trends might be attractive yet appropriate for the fashion savvy PW? How can you keep your clothing updated without breaking the family budget? What about freshening up your house or even your husband's wardrobe?

Would you like to be our trend blogger? Got an eye for style on a tight budget?

Tell us more about yourself and why you think you'd be a good columnist for PW style and fashion at clutchtalk (at) gmail (dot) com. Include a photo of yourself in an outfit that you got on the cheap. :)

CASTING CALL::photo blogger

>> October 14, 2011

We want to make CLUTCH a bit more multi-media - so we're opening a casting call for a PW photo blogger. I (Sarah) adore photography, but I just don't have the time. So here's a chance for one of you to share what life as a PW is like, through the lens of your camera.

Here's the skinny:
- send one photo a week, with a caption
- take photos that are somehow related to what your life is like as a PW
- photos could be taken with a great camera, or could be done with your iPhone, instagr.am style
- OR, we would be open to accepting two photographers, one to do a photo column with DSLR pictures, and the other to do an instagr.am style diary.

Interested? Email us at clutchtalk (at) gmail (dot) com. Tell us who you are, and include a link so that we can see some of your photography online. Or attach some of your favorite photographs.

WANTED::one columnist

>> October 29, 2010

CLUTCH needs a critic.

Often, we get requests to review new resources, new books, new music albums or artists, and even new family movies.
We'd like to be able to do it, but our main bloggers are already fully committed. (And yes, occasionally it all makes us a little insane!)

So we are looking for someone new, who would be willing to take on the role of reviewing stuff. And writing about it.

This writer needs to be a young PW or ministry wife, willing to critique content based on biblical principles and values, keeping the interests and needs of CLUTCH's specific audience in mind.

Minimum frequency would be two posts per month, more if you like.

If you're interested, write us at clutchtalk [at] gmail [dot] com for more details.  Tell us about yourself, where/what kind of ministry you and your PH are doing, and why you think you'd be a good critic.

guest posting call...

>> September 20, 2009

Hi girls,

We'd like to open CLUTCH up to all our readers, in an invitation for you to contribute through guest blogs, video blogs, questions and so on.

Just being totally transparent here - Delina's got 10 week old twins and a toddler, and I (Sarah) am counting down the last 30 days before baby #1 arrives. So we're both suffering from variations of sleep deprivation and baby brain.

We think it's a good time for those of you who are interested, to chime in. CLUTCH can only benefit from a variety of perspectives and insights - so we'd love to hear from you. Got questions? Got giveaways to suggest or offer? Got life lessons to share? Read a great book lately?

Don't be shy!

(Pretty please? With a cherry on top?)

calling all bookworms...

>> August 21, 2009

We know you're all busy. Some of you meet yourselves coming and going each day, and you wonder just how to get everything done.

But in between the cracks, we've all read at least one really REALLY good book. You know the kind - that book that inspired you to be more like Jesus, or that helped you through a crisis, or that answered some burning question for you.

We'd like to feature book reviews from CLUTCH readers. They don't have to be long and complex, or brilliantly witty. They just need to say:

1) the title, author, edition and where to get it
2) why you loved the book
3) a synopsis of what you learned from it
4) why other PWs should read it

We want to keep our posts relevant to PW life, so we're especially looking for reviews on books that somehow helped you become a better pastor's wife - spiritually, emotionally, practically - whatever works. It's just got to tie into life in the ministry in our special calling as PWs...

Write us at clutchtalk (at) gmail (dot) com to share about your favorite book.

casting call

>> February 16, 2009

Okay, so this isn't really a casting call, but I'm looking for someone to interview. Have any of your churches done the 30-day Sex Challenge thing? I'm looking to interview a PW for this blog about that experience.

Let me know how to contact you (or a PW friend) or email me at clutchtalk@gmail.com.

Thanks!

Delina
