introducing::CAT!

Cat Sasser is our new CLUTCH photo blogger.
Cat Sasser is a co-youth pastor with her husband, Bobby, at The Garage Student Ministries. She and Bobby moved to Tennessee last year to start a youth group and "do life" with their new family at Destiny Church.
Cat has 10 years experience in full-time ministry, covering everything from book-keeping & administration to outreach & women's ministry. She attended Southeastern University, majoring in pastoral counseling with a minor in youth & missions.
As a teenager, Cat spent every summer doing mission work overseas. She plans to spend her life (in the same manner) being used up by God, whether it be overseas or right here on her home base.
Bobby and Cat have been married for two years. She calls herself a "newbie" to the PW club. She also became a "newbie" to the Mom club on June 28th, 2011.
Cat's life verse is Jeremiah 29:11 and she has stood on that promise while facing all of the bumps along the road of ministry, marriage, mommyhood, and life. She loves photography, and can't wait to share photos from her life as a PW here on CLUTCH.Share

Here's the skinny:
- send one photo a week, with a caption
- take photos that are somehow related to what your life is like as a PW
- photos could be taken with a great camera, or could be done with your iPhone, instagr.am style
- OR, we would be open to accepting two photographers, one to do a photo column with DSLR pictures, and the other to do an instagr.am style diary.

on being a winner

A few months after settling into our new church, I found myself at a women’s ministry cookie exchange. I was tired that week and, honestly, didn’t put much thought into it… I just baked a recipe I enjoyed and was off to the party with my 3 dozen in tow.
Partway through the evening we returned to the sugar-laden table to discover ribbons on 4 tastefully chosen platters. Wow…there was a ribbon on mine! And I hadn’t even tried. Nonetheless, I had earned “Yummiest Cookie”.
It feels good to be a winner. Mind you, it wasn’t the Olympics, but I was still a winner… and I could go home knowing I had at least held my own with all the talented cooks in the church, right?
My winning was unintentional. But I’ve been contemplating the way many of us (even as PWs!) go about our daily life in an unintentional way. It’s super easy to do! I know I get lost in the expectations and routines, and forget to live intentionally for the people I love!
I forget to put foremost the things that really make me a winner…the lasting things in life, the relationships, the things that make or break you. Being a winner with life…it has to be intentional. I’m freshly determined to be a winner as a spouse, parent, and friend…and to do it intentionally.
The prize is tangible, it really is!
Libby is a PW in the Midwestern USA, with two beautiful little girls and a son on the way. She's a photographer, and her column on CLUTCH documents various moments in her PW life through her pictures.
