I so agree that the pastors wife needs to be able to take care of the pastor. I love being in ministry and quickly found myself overextended - I am now pulling back so that I can be there to help support and encourage my husband. "Pastor the pastor" I also loved the part about having "safe" friends. Being a pastors wife can be very lonely and at times there is a lack of depth of relationships.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5273706212232036223.post-18998730081740157932009-10-22T09:35:12.805-04:002009-10-22T09:35:12.805-04:00There wasn't just one thing that stuck out, ju...There wasn't just one thing that stuck out, just the whole thing overall was really good!

I'm very involved and don't mind it, but we have set up a system where I have help. It is the best/worst time of the week for me. Lots of stops along the way, and my kids get very aggravated with this. I enjoy talking w/people, just not with my kids right there rolling their eyes. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5273706212232036223.post-13986817613484658822009-10-22T01:06:40.543-04:002009-10-22T01:06:40.543-04:00When my husband first became a pastor, we'd be...When my husband first became a pastor, we'd been attending the church for a few years as laypeople. People used to ask me, "So how is it being the pastor's wife?" And I could honestly respond, "I love being his wife whatever he does!" It helped to set the tone for the church to see me as a normal woman with some children and a husband who does normal work. The hardest thing is to not allow the things I see as being able to fix/be involved in to be my responsibilities. I have to set it aside and let others do it. Most of the time the church blesses me by letting me love my husband.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5273706212232036223.post-89014103468299366912009-10-21T20:08:08.982-04:002009-10-21T20:08:08.982-04:00That was very good.
